Purpose of Organization:
The purpose of Sigma Alpha Iota is to form chapters of women who have a sincere interest in music and want to further the development of music throughout the world. We support our members in their college life and educational growth. We also support our philanthropic projects.
Election Information:
Elections are held in March for the following academic year.
Meeting Information:
Meetings are held every Sunday at 7pm at the River Campus Dorm in room 120.
Membership:
Any woman interested in music who has completed one semester of study at SEMO. They must also have one music credit or currently be enrolled in one during recruitment. The minimum overall grade point average for membership is 2.5 (on a 4-point scale). Judgment on membership status if not met is left to the discretion of the Executive board. They can join by going to recruitment meetings at the beginning of the semester to receive more information.
