Purpose of Organization: |
The Social Work Club, although connected to the Social Work Department, is open to all students, regardless of major. We provide our members with volunteer and leadership opportunities, access to professionals in the field for networking, and a fun environment in which to make friends and have meaningful conversation about current events that affect social welfare in the United States and around the world. |
Election Information: |
Elections are held late each semester for officers for the following semester. Fall officers are elected in late April or early May, and spring officers are elected in late November or early December.
Additional officers include Co-Historian Lauren Gibbs and Public Relations Officer Alyssa Gibbs. |
Meeting Information: |
Spring 2016 meetings will be held in Crisp 217 at 5pm on Thursdays. |
Membership: |
Recruitment via the fall Involvement Fair and visiting fundamental social work classes. Prospective members can show up to any meeting and announce their intention to join the club. New members can join at any point during a semester. Members are required to pay dues, and those that regularly attend meetings will be acknowledged for their commitment to the club.
