SEMO Rising

Event Description:
As a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Campus Violence Prevention Program invites southeast faculty, staff, and students to attend SEMO Rising on April 23 in the University Center Redhawks Room. The evening begins at 7 p.m. hosted by Redhawks Rising, to raise awareness and increase support for survivors of sexual violence.
Survivors are invited to participate in the Speak Out to share (or sing or dance, etc.) their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Supporters are also welcome during the open mic to voice support and promote awareness (speakers have a five-minute time limit, and no organization promotion is allowed). We will then rise together for the 1 Billion Rising group dance and celebrate our uprising!
