This season's productions offer something for everyone, and, this year, the department is adding the option of season tickets, offered at a 20 percent discount, to make the already attractive lineup even more difficult to resist.

The 2003-2004 production schedule will feature the following:

"Two Rooms," a timely and riveting drama, details the very personal and complicated struggles of a woman whose husband is being held hostage in the Middle East. To better empathize with him, the main character simulates the conditions of his imprisonment in her own home, holding vigil and waiting for his release. This powerful drama by Lee Blessing will be directed by Dr. Roseanna Whitlow. Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 24-27 and 2 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Lab Theatre in Grauel Building 104.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" is a timeless fantasy illustrating the mishaps that can occur between the unseen and magical world of conniving Fairies and that of unsuspecting human hearts. Find yourself transported to another time and place and see why this wonderful work of living poetry has appealed to audiences for centuries. This production, by William Shakespeare, is a collaborative directorial effort by Dr. Robert Dillon Jr. and Paul Zmolek. Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. Oct. 24-25, 8 p.m. Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and 2 p.m. Nov. 2 in Forrest H. Rose Theatre.

"The Glass Menagerie" is classic and charming drama taking place in 1930's St. Louis. This play depicts a lonely and frustrated family of two grown children living with their well-meaning but misplaced mother who struggles to maintain hope and classic Southern demeanor amidst their stark and seemingly insurmountable circumstances. This production by Tennessee Williams will be directed by Dr. Kenn Stilson. Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. Dec. 5-6, 8 p.m. Dec. 11-13, and 2 p.m. Dec. 14 in Forrest H. Rose Theatre.

"Full Tilt 2004" is the department's annual and highly anticipated dance showcase and is a collaboration of the three performing arts disciplines- theatre, music and dance. Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. Feb. 19-21 in Forrest H. Rose Theatre.

"Some Things You Need to Know Before the World Ends" (A Final Evening with the Illuminati) is a quirky but philosophical farce which takes place in an apocalyptic church sanctuary. Audiences are sure to buzz about the hilarious ways that this play's delusional main character dances around issues such as women in religion, sexuality in the church, and man's basic nature. This production by Larry Larson and Levi Lee is directed by Stilson. Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. March 30-April 3 and 11 p.m. April 3 in the Lab Theatre in Grauel Building Room 104.

The theatre and dance season will come to a close in April with "Rapunzel," the classic fairy tale of a lovely but lonely lady with exceptionally long locks. This classic is sure to delight children of all ages. "Rapunzel," directed by Dennis Seyer, professor of theatre and dance, is scheduled for 10 a.m. April 20-21, 1 and 7 p.m. April 23, and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 24 in Forrest H. Rose Theatre.
