ANNUAL EARTH DAY FESTIVAL PLANNED FOR MAY 3

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 17, 2003 - The Preserving Our Planet Society of Southeast Missouri State University will hold its annual Earth Day celebration May 3.

Events are planned for noon to 5 p.m. on Academic Terraces at the corner of Normal and Pacific on the Southeast campus. Bands will play throughout the day, and student organizations and merchants will have booths set up to provide information. A number of student organizations with ties to environmental causes are expected to participate, including the Sierra Club, the Biology Club and the Geosciences Club.

Free food will be provided.
