The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Ballroom of the University Center on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Southeast faculty member Dr. Michael Dean will perform "The Pre-Goodman Rag" for clarinet. In addition, senior music major and pianist Tyson Wunderlich will perform George Gershwin's famous "Rhapsody in Blue." This will be performed in its original version, orchestrated by Paul Whiteman.

In addition to several marches, the program will also include a performance by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble of Frank Zappa's composition entitled "Dog Breath Variations."

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening's entertainment will be Dr. Tom Harte, local celebrity and host of "Café Concerto" on KRCU-FM.

The numerous invitations that the Southeast Symphonic Wind Ensemble has received to perform at state and regional conferences are indicative of the respect that this group has earned both for quality of performances and innovative programming. The group has presented eleven world premieres and more that a dozen American premieres and has performed for both the Missouri Music Educators Association and the College Band Directors National Association.

Parking will be available in lots 18 and TCD just across from the University Center. Handicapped parking will be available, with street-level elevator access.
