ZAUM: BEYOND SIGNIFICANCE COMES TO ROSE THEATRE DEC. 5-7

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 27, 2002 -- The Department of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University will present the premiere of a contemporary ballet entitled "Zaum: Beyond Significance" Dec. 5-7 in the Forrest H. Rose Theatre.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m.

This original work is inspired by the Russian Cubo-Futurists with music composed by Robert Fruehwald, directed and choreographed by Josephine and Paul Zmolek, with scenic design by Dennis Seyer, lighting design by C. Kenneth Cole, and costume and make-up design by Rhonda Weller Stilson.

Ticket prices are $8 for the general public; $7 for faculty, staff and senior citizens; and $6 for students. Thursday's performance, Dec. 5, is student rush: all student tickets are $5 with a University I.D.

Tickets currently are on sale at the Performing Arts Box Office at the Forrest H. Rose Theatre, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the box office or by calling (573) 651-2265. Reserve tickets early. Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
