UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES INTERIM CHANGES IN STUDENT AUXILIARY SERVICES

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., July 1, 2002 - Interim changes in assignments in the area of Student Auxiliary Services were announced today at Southeast Missouri State University.

Lori Lynn, director of Recreational Sports, has been appointed interim director of Student Auxiliary Services. The director of the University Center will report to her, and she will continue to serve as direct supervisor of Recreational Sports. She also will serve as the advisor for Student Government.

In addition, Debbie Below, director of Admissions at Southeast, has been appointed interim director of enrollment management and admissions. As part of her new assignment, Residence Life will report to her, and she will serve as the liaison with Chartwells dining services. She will continue to serve as the direct supervisor of Admissions.

Both Lynn and Below will serve on Administrative Council.

The changes in Student Auxiliary Services are the result of the resignation of Loren Rullman, assistant vice president for Enrollment Management and director of Student Auxiliary Services. Rullman has accepted a new position as director of student unions at the University of Michigan.

Rullman’s position will remain open indefinitely in light of budgetary constraints at Southeast. His duties are being assigned to Lynn and Below.

“I believe these changes will allow for continued strong leadership in the units that are involved,” said Dr. Pauline Fox, vice president for enrollment management.
