"GAMBLING WITH YOUR HERITAGE: CASINOS COME TO COLORADO HISTORIC DISTRICTS" TO BE PRESENTED JUNE 12 AT SOUTHEAST HISTORIC PRESERVATION FIELD SCHOOL

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., May 31, 2002 - The Historic Preservation Summer Field School, offered since 1997 by Southeast Missouri State University and co-sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will sponsor a presentation titled "Gambling with Your Heritage: Casinos Come to Colorado Historic Districts" on Wednesday, June 12, at noon in the County Services Building located at 255 E. Market Street in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Dr. Eric Clements, a history professor at Southeast, will make the presentation, which is free and open to the public. In his slide presentation, Clements will show the impact casinos have had on the historic town of Black Hawk, Colo.
