SPRING FINALS SURVIVAL CARNIVAL PLANNED FOR MAY 1

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 19, 2002 - A Spring Finals Survival Carnival will be the featured program during the final Common Hour of the spring semester on May 1.

The theme of the carnival is "Don't Leave Your Grades in Limbo; Ride the Wave to Finals Success." The Carnival is planned for noon to 2 p.m. outside the University Center, weather permitting.

Events will include a performance by the Southeast Jazz Band, a sidewalk sale with merchandise from Southeast Bookstore and chances to win St. Louis Cardinal baseball tickets. Ever popular survival kits will be distributed to students.

Students who participate can learn how to reduce their stress and to cram effectively as they study for final exams. They also can learn which foods give them extra energy to do well on their finals. Students are invited to take a break from their studying and to enjoy food and prizes at the carnival.
