SOUTHEAST RECREATIONAL SPORTS NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATION FOR CAMP CAPAHA

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 12, 2002 - Recreational Sports at Southeast Missouri State University is now accepting registration for Camp Capaha, a summer daycamp held at the Student Recreation Center.

Camp Capaha is open to all children ages 6-12 and offers age appropriate activities with group interaction. Children will participate in recreation activities, water games, crafts and sports such as soccer, basketball, racquetball, tennis, badminton, kickball, whiffleball, ultimate Frisbee and volleyball. In addition, they will get to go swimming at Parker pool. All campers will be placed in age groups with a staff-to-camper ratio of one to seven.

Each camp session is one week, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sessions are June 17-21, June 24-28, July 8-12 and July 15-19. Each session is $90 for children of University affiliates or Student Recreation Center members or $110 for members of the community. A second sibling can be registered for a $10 discount. The price includes the cost of camp, daily snacks and a T-shirt for each camper. Campers must bring their own sack lunch each day.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and enrollment is limited. Campers' spots can be guaranteed only with full payment. Full refunds will be given until two weeks before the camp session starts. Walk-in registrations at the Student Recreation Center can be made from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays or call (573) 651-2105 for a registration form or more information. Additional information will be provided to parents upon registration.
