ANNUAL STUDENT HEALTH FAIR TO BE HELD MARCH 13

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 8, 2002 – The Center for Health and Counseling at Southeast Missouri State University is holding its annual Student Health Fair on campus March 13.

The Student Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the second floor lobby/cafeteria area of the Towers Complex. This event is open to all students, faculty and staff.

Over 30 agencies and academic departments will participate in the annual event focused on student wellness as students prepare for spring break. A number of assessments will be performed, including hearing, height, weight, body composition, grip strength, flexibility, sickle cell, vision, hemoglobin and blood pressure. A depression screening also will be available. Also offered will be free massage therapy, “Spring Break Survival Kits,” plants for sale and many door prizes.

An interactive kickboxing demonstration titled, “Bring in the Noise, Bring on the Fun” will be offered as will a self-defense demonstration. Students will be reminded to “Make the Break, Make It Fun, Make It Safe and, most of all, Make It Home.”
